This new award is intended to provide support to new academic lecturers to set up research labs and/or buy in teaching, to encourage the development of optometric career researchers.
Eligibility will be determined on the following:
- Members or Fellows of the College of Optometrists who have been appointed within the last four years to a full-time position at Lecturer A or B level in a UK Department/School of Optometry
- Applicants should not currently hold a major grant award
An Institution may only hold one Career Development Award at any given time.
Up to three awards of £30,000 each will be awarded in 2008. Deadline for receipt of application forms is 31 MARCH 2008.
