Five diploma syllabuses are currently available:
- Ocular Conditions (Glaucoma A & Diabetes)
- Rehabilitation of Visual Impairment
- Glaucoma
- Contact Lens Practice
- Orthoptics
Each Certificate Assessment consists of three parts:
- 1 hour viva on a previously submitted clinical portfolio
- 1.5 hour, short answer, written paper consisting of 30 short answer questions covering any aspect of the syllabus
- 1-1.5 hour Station examination including practical tasks, and/or visual recognition and interpretation of clinical symptoms. The examiner may enter into discussion as appropriate during the examination.
