New Portfolio Route to Fellowship

The College has introduced an exciting new, more flexible way of achieving Fellowship based on achievements in the workplace as well as success in examinations. Applicants will apply for Fellowship by submitting a portfolio of evidence covering a wide range of practice demonstrating how their accomplishments, including any examination success, have benefitted the practice of optometry as a whole, as well as their own practice.

This new route has replaced the previous way of gaining Fellowship and will open the way for optometrists from a wide range of settings to have their contribution to the profession recognised by their peers.

Guidance on how to apply is set out below, together with the necessary application forms.
