The Guidelines are continually reviewed and include advice relating to the fitting and supply of contact lenses, providing clarification on the responsibilities of a registered optometrist “generally directing” the sale or supply of contact lenses and on the duty to provide aftercare.
The College develops its guidance via its Guidance Review Group which includes observers from the AOP, ABDO, FODO and the GOC.
