  Code of Ethics & Guidelines for Professional Conduct

The College publishes the Code of Ethics that forms the basis of the professional conduct of optometrists and Guidance for Professional Conduct that is the College view of how this code should be interpreted by optometrists in their professional lives.

  Frameworks

The College publishes a series of Framework documents that may be useful to Local Optometric Committees in their negotiations with primary care organisations. This section also contains other documents that may also be useful in such discussions.  

  Ophthalmic & Physiological Optics (OPO)

OPO is the College's learned journal published 6 times a year.  


  Optometry in Practice (OiP)

OiP is the College's Continuing Education and Training journal published four times a year and containing a range of peer review articles.

High Performance Optometry helps Members keep up to date with what is being published in their areas of interest.  


  Members' Handbook

The College Members' Handbook is a vital reference source for optometrists containing the Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Professional Conduct

The College plays a vital role in shaping optometric policy, through input to consultations with a wide variety of groups and organisations.
