Undistorted vision of ocular drainage system could help glaucoma patients

Researchers in the School of Optometry at Indiana University have applied adaptive optics, originally used by astronomers to see the stars more clearly through Earth’s atmosphere, to correct distortion and allow accurate viewing of the trabecular meshwork (TM) within 10 millionths of a millimetre. This is precise enough to visualise single cells or measure retinal blood flow.
