Gene inhibitor could slow progress of PVR
The topical delivery of a gene transcription factor inhibitor curbed the progression of proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) in a study using rabbits.
PVR remains without an effective prophylactic or therapeutic medical treatment and is the leading cause of retinal detachment surgery failure.
