Your next free member CET event in the East Midlands region will take place in Kegworth on Thursday 18 May from 6pm.
You will participate in an interactive peer discussion based around a brand new filmed case scenario on a routine eye examination. You will also take part in practical exercises during the evening to include the use of record cards and voting pads.
The discussions will be supported by a trained facilitator and based around a College case study.
Expected timings for the evening
This is an opportunity to have something to eat whilst networking with fellow attendees and exhibitors. We encourage you to arrive by 6pm to allow yourself plenty of time to park, register and have a bite to eat.
A College representative will give you an update on the College's current activites. Following this there will be a short presentation by a LOCSU / MECS representative.

Competencies covered: Communication, Standards of Practice and Optical Appliances
- To explain the best course of management to the patient
- To understand the principles of clinical audit and how to use this to make simple improvements in everyday practice.
- To maintain adequate patient records
- To understand the use of different types of bifocal spectacle lenses and their limitations.
Target group: Optometrist
This is an opportunity to have some tea / coffee and speak further with fellow attendees and exhibitors.
