A Pre-Reg opportunity has become available at Boots Opticians Bridgend. We boast a fantastic high street location just 30 minutes by train or car from Cardiff and Swansea. Our store is modern with upcoming plans for expansion. You will have use of OCT, Humphrey Mk 3 Visual Fields, Goldmann, Perkins and Topcon Tonometers, Pachymeter and Thomson Test Charts. We actively participate in WECS and Low Vision Services and are involved in the health board COVID recovery plan. We are proud of our relationship and reputation with the local Hospital Ophthalmology Department as well as other local practices. 

Our practice is a Boots Opticians Franchise allowing autonomy to suit the contract and role to our successful trainee. Your supervisor will be the Optometrist Director who has over 15 years clinical experience and has guided 6 Pre-Reg Optometrists through their training. Your supervisor holds College Professional Certificates in Glaucoma, Medical Retina and is working towards Glaucoma Higher and IP qualification. All opportunities that will become available to you following your qualification. In addition, a proactive team of dispensers are here to support.
