Evans & Hughes is a well-established group of four busy independent practices in market towns across West Wales. Our practices are well equipped with Humphrey Field Analysers, OCTs and Fundus Photography. Our practices have participated in several pilots throughout the years and are involved with optometry on both a local and national level, participating in LHB cluster, Regional Optical Committee and Welsh Optical Committee. We are now expanding and as a consequence have another opportunity for a full or part time optometrist who is enthusiastic and clinically minded to join our team. The ideal candidate will be conscientious and keen to deliver the best possible service to our patients. WECS accreditation is essential and we encourage upskilling and further education in line with the way optometry is rapidly evolving, especially with the new contract reform on the horizon. We can be flexible with practice location with the opportunity to work across different locations (Ammanford, Llandeilo, Lampeter and Llandovery). We would expect two Saturday mornings a month to be worked. Salary will reflect both experience and qualification. We have a very low turnover of staff and work as a team with the feel of a family dynamic.
