Hing Opticians was founded in 1979 by the previous Owner and father of our current Managing Director Ben Hing. Ben and his wife Laura purchased the practice in 2015 and have continued to grow the business and invest in their clinical and support team.
About the role
We are a well established, independent practice who put the clinical needs of our patients first over sales or targets. Your professional knowledge and time is appreciated and your patients would respect the advice you give. We have great links with local hospitals and invest well in equipment to ensure we are providing a comprehensive service for all of our patients. We have recently won a Civic Award for our highly respected reputation and knowledgeable staff.
We are looking for a part time optometrist to join our team, we are looking for someone who like to stretch their clinical mind and wants to be part of a team. Making clinical decisions is key and you would be expected to spend the time with the patients to ensure they understand and feel cared for. Testing times are mainly 30mins with pre-screening being performed by the support team, we have an incredible dispensing team who will ensure that your patient is guided through the spectacle portion of their experience.
- Contact lens and OCT knowledge is required.
- We would like 2.5 -3.5 days a week - this includes alternate Saturday AM (8.45 - 12.30) NO BANK HOLIDAYS!!!! Lots of the team including the owners have families so we are keen to ensure everyone has a good work/life balance.

- Professional registration is paid pro-rata and CPD support is available too.
