About the role

Group Lead Optometrist 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Lead Optometrist to work as professional services manager for our team of optometrists and pre-registration optometrists across both Louth and Skegness stores. As part of the senior leadership team (working closely with the directors) you'll be responsible in shaping the clinical and commercial excellence of the team.

The role includes protected admin time in order to fulfil you duties - meaning some time out of the test room! 

  • Salary - up to £70,000 (depending on experience) £5,000 joining bonus paid after successful completion of probation (terms apply)

  • Min. 5 years qualified experience
  • Primary supervising of pre-reg optometrists essential
  • Senior optom and/or professional services experience desirable
  • Driver license (as traveling between the two stores essential).

Some of the main roles you'll be responsible for: 

  • Optom rotas
  • CPD organisation & clinical training for the group
  • Organising optom team building activities
  • Evaluating Clinical Outcome Reports and conducting 1-2-1s
  • Conduct quarterly clinical audits.

This role would suit an optometrist with aspirations to go on to the Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway). Along with your clinical expertise – this will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.
