Pre-registration placement, Specsavers Wick

Specsavers Wick is the most Northernly Specsavers in the UK mainland. It is a small store with 3 Test-rooms. The store has all necessary equipment to allow for a good pre reg period and to gain all competencies. The main Optometrist is IP qualified and also does shared care Glaucoma work and was short-listed for Optician magazines Optometrist of the year 2022. There is a close knit community and the team all with experience working with pre regs over many years and a low cost of living in the area.

The role is as a pre-reg Optometrist. It will involve all the necessary parts to allow the pre-reg to pass the exams including Sight testing, dispensing, contact lens work and eye health assessments. No training in dispensing or working in an opticians practice is required as full training will be provided with a robust training programme for the successful candidate.
