When you look for a local optometrist – look for the letters! More than 11,000 registered optometrists across the UK are members of the College of Optometrists and are entitled to use the letters MCOptom or FCOptom (if they are a Fellow) after their name. Members of the College must sign up to a code of conduct, so you can be confident that they are committed to the very highest clinical, ethical and professional standards.

Enter your postcode to find a College member practising in your area. You will also see any relevant additional qualifications, the languages that they can speak and whether they can carry out examinations in your home.

Enter search details in any of the fields below. You may enter information in more than one field to narrow your search – but be sure to enter at least one of postcode, town, optometrist name, practice name or GOC Number.

Please note: Not all members of the College have chosen to have their details shown in the list.
