The article has highlighted the signs, symptoms and principles of treatment of uveitis with considerable emphasis on the commonest subtype, anterior uveitis. Notwithstanding the fact that discussion of the investigations employed in ascertaining the underlying cause merits a separate article in its own right, it is hoped that the information imparted within this article will act as a useful reference for practitioners encountering patients with this burgeoning disease.
