As we start May under continued lockdown measures, many who are still in practice will be continuing essential treatment using virtual consultations. This month’s Acuity digital article examines the range of options available and the tools for setting up your own virtual consultations. It also explores how best to diagnose and support your patients within the limitations, to maintain patient confidentiality, and to ensure effective record-keeping.

The latest print issue of Acuity has been distributed to members and is available online. Our cover feature is on the psychology of patient decision-making, and how understanding your patients’ thought processes can lead to more effective consultations.

We also have two new CET articles, one on the antigen HLA-B27 and how carriers could be predisposed to uveitis, and another on corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL), by Consultant Ophthalmologist Mr Damian Lake.
