Case on supplying glasses with an expired prescription

A patient has contacted the practice to order a new pair of glasses, having lost their only pair. They have no history of eye problems or any new visual or ocular symptoms, but they do have significant myopia. However, their prescription has expired, and they are unable to attend the practice as they are currently in temporary respite care recovering from an illness. Can I make up a new pair of glasses?
