I work in rural practice with limited access to a local pharmacy. My patient has attended for an urgent eye examination with a corneal abrasion following misdirection of a mascara brush and has a significant epithelial defect. The nearest pharmacy closed for the day, can I sell a topical chloramphenicol eye drops as prophylaxis?
