Event FAQs

The event is showing as fully booked what can I do?
You can join the waiting list and if a place becomes available the system will automatically offer it to the next person on that list.

I want to cancel my place on an event.
You can do this via your My College area. All upcoming events that you are booked to attend are listed in the ‘my events’ area. Alternatively you can email events@college-optometrists.org

It says I don't have access to book an event, what can I do?
Email events@college-optometrists.org with the event you are trying to book, your name and GOC number.

Are the CPD points on offer at events interactive?
All CPD points earned at a physical or virtual event are interactive unless otherwise stated.

When will my CPD points be uploaded?
CPD points are now uploaded by the registrant not the provider. For more information please visit the GOC website.

I need evidence that I attended an event.
Please email events@college-optometrists.org letting us know your name, GOC number and the date of the event.

I've passed the OSCE but haven't yet been invited to a Diploma ceremony.
The Diploma Ceremony is a unique opportunity to welcome new optometrists to the profession, and applaud the achievements of some of the most talented practitioners, researchers and academics working in eye health care today. Please visit the Diploma information page for details. If you have passed your OSCE recently you will be invited to book soon.

We have a number of sponsorship and partnership opportunities for the events the College runs throughout the year, including collaborative in-person events. If you would like to discuss any of these opportunities further, please email us at sponsorship@college-optometrists.org.
