UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands

 

 

Non-Direct Debit annual membership fee given in brackets

  • Practising in the UK - £293.73 (£298.73)
     
  • Practising less than 50 days per year in the UK - £164.98  (£167.77)
     
  • Working within optometry in the UK but not in practice or seeing patients - £164.98  (£167.77)
     
  • Newly-qualified optometrists - in first College membership year since qualifying - £29.37 (£29.87)
  • Newly-qualified optometrists - in second College membership year since qualifying - £73.43 (£74.68) 
  • Newly-qualified optometrists - in third College membership year since qualifying - £146.87 (£149.37)
  • Newly-qualified optometrists - in fourth College membership year since qualifying - £220.30 (£224.05)
     
  • Not currently practising (for example, retired or on a career break) - £39.04 (£39.65)
     
  • Optometry students undertaking a undergraduate degree course in optometry from a UK university approved by the GOC or enrolled pre-registration trainees - No fee

  • Practising for 50 years or more - No fee
Overseas

Overseas members must be registered as a qualified optometrists with the GOC (UK) or the appropriate regulatory authority in the country in which they are practising AND be resident or practising overseas with an overseas address as their main address.  For new members we require proof of their current registration from the relevant authority and that they are currently practising as an optometrist from their employer. 

  • Practising outside the UK - £167.77
     
  • Practising less than 50 days per year outside the UK - £94.43
     
  • Working within optometry outside the UK but not in practice or seeing pateints - £164.98

    Newly qualified rates apply to those qualifying in the UK
  • Newly-qualified optometrists – in first College membership year since qualifying - £16.78
  • Newly-qualified optometrists – in second College membership year since qualifying - £41.94
  • Newly-qualified optometrists – in third College membership year since qualifying - £83.89
  • Newly-qualified optometrists – in fourth College membershipyear since qualifying - £125.83
     
  • Not currently practising (for example, retired or on a career break) - for exisitng College members only - £39.65

  • Practising for 50 years or more - No fee
