New resources on Vision impairment and Falls from the National Falls Prevention Coordination Group

The NFPCG have developed a suite of new resources to help reduce the incidence of falls related to vision-impairment in older people.

The National Falls Prevention Coordination Group (NFPCG), hosted by National Healthcare Public Health in NHSEI, is made up of 40 organisations involved in the prevention and care of falls and fall-related injuries.

The College, as a member of the NFPCG, directly contributed to development of a suite of new resources to help reduce the incidence of falls related to vision-impairment in older people. The aim is to promote the importance of good eye health and vision with healthcare professionals and increase the uptake of eye examinations by the public.
