The College of Optometrists is looking for a newly qualified optometrist, to join our Guidance for Professional Practice (GfPP) Task and Finish Review Group.
The GfPP review process occurs every three years. Being part of the review is an excellent opportunity to contribute your organisation's expertise to the Guidance and collaborate with sector representatives to influence good optometric practice. The aims of the review are to:
This year we have reduced the number of meetings and continue to use shorter and virtual meeting to reduce the time commitment needed and support the sector's aims of improved sustainability.
Please note this is a voluntary not paid role.

| The public consultation will run for six weeks from 8 June to 20 July 2026, during which all members, the public, and stakeholders will have the opportunity to review the final draft and provide feedback. The Task and Finish group will review this feedback, proposed responses and agree on the final version to recommend to the Education and Standards committee for approval in October 2026. | |
