Trustee - The Benevolent Fund

We have a vacancy for a college nominated Trustee of the Benevolent Fund. The fund exists to alleviate financial hardship for optometrists and their dependents in the short or long term. It is administered by Honorary Trustees who are members of the optometric profession with considerable experience in the optical sector.

We are looking for a Trustee who can commit the necessary time, an estimated commitment of one day every three months with additional time to check and respond to emails, which sometimes need immediate attention if an applicant is in an emergency situation, has strategic vision, independent judgement and an ability to think creatively.
