31. Supervising dispensing

13 November 2020
Dispensing

Dispensing of a complex prescription in your absence.

Scenario

Karen Peterson, aged 47, came to your practice six months ago for a routine eye examination. Her prescription is R -10.50/-1.00 x 80, L -11.25/-0.50 x 100. She had some new specs done after her sight test, but has now broken them and needs to have some new ones.

You have just left for your fortnight's holiday, and have not arranged any optometric cover. The practice is staffed by your very experienced dispensing assistant manager, Debbie. Debbie is not a registered DO.
