The case studies and all of the material presented in the ethical scenarios (‘the material) are entirely fictional - we have created them for illustration purposes only. Their aim is to put our Guidance for professional practice in context, exploring how some of the principles might work in practice. The material does not represent our guidance or policy in itself, and we do not intend it to replace professional or legal advice.
The material is not intended to be clinically accurate nor to be any legal authority as to the correct interpretation of guidance produced by the College or the GOC Standards for Practice. You should therefore not rely on the material to make any clinical, business or legal decision.
We make no representation or warranties, either express or implied, about the completeness or accuracy of the material. To the fullest extent permitted by English law we shall not be liable for any:
- misleading, inaccurate, inappropriate or incomplete information in the material and/or
- any loss (whether financial or otherwise) arising either directly or indirectly from any reliance place on the material, howsoever and wherever arising.
This disclaimer shall be interpreted in accordance with English law.
