CET or CPD? The future depends on you

The GOC is consulting on its proposal to change the current CET scheme to help it develop and finalise policy changes.

Should points and competencies stay, or has their time come to an end? CET or CPD; does a name matter? Would more reflection be a benefit? How can we ensure that a new scheme supports optometrists now, and in the future? Take a moment to read the proposal, and have your say on these key points.

Get involved

There are two ways to get involved:

1. Help inform the College’s response. We’ll be submitting a response to the GOC, and to ensure it reflects member views, we have set up a simple form to gather your comments and concerns. The deadline to complete the form is Monday 3 August.

2. Respond directly to the GOC’s consultation. The deadline is Thursday 20 August.

Next steps

Before we submit our response to the GOC, we will share a draft with members for final comment. Stay tuned for updates, and have your say today.
