About the practice

The Northern Ireland Clinical Research Facility is situated within Queen's University Belfast and provides the facilities and infrastructure for clinical research, and clinical research trials. It has an expanding internationally recognised ophthalmology research group doing research on macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetes and myopia management. The facility has superb clinical facilities and modern imaging equipment with a team of five optometrists supporting the clinical research.

About the role

We are looking for a clinical optometrist to join our expanding team at the Northern Ireland Clinical Research Facility. This is an exciting opportunity for an optometrist to become involved in clinical research and clinical research trials in a patient facing role with fantastic facilities, and the opportunity for career development. This is a full-time post, however part-time hours (minimum of 0.5 FTE) and job share arrangements will be considered. The NICRF will relocate to the iREACH Health building at Belfast City Hospital on its opening.
