We speak to Anna Turvey MCOptom, who combined an optometry career with life as an elite cyclist, about how outside experiences can inform your professional practice.

While it is honourable to be devoted to your profession, having interests away from optometry can be extremely valuable. Not only can they allow you time away from work to rest, refocus and return to challenges with a fresh approach, but the skills and experiences gained outside optometry can influence how you approach your professional life.
