Optometrist Director at Specsavers Clapham and Vice-President of the French Association of Optometrists

Where?

How did you first become involved with the French Association of Optometrists (AOF)?

I was at university when the AOF was holding its general assembly, which was discussing membership fees for students. At the time, they had an unrealistic perception of what students were earning. I voiced my concerns and they suggested I should join them.

I have been interested in political matters since my teens, so it was natural for me to become a member of the association. I was general secretary for a few years and then president for nine years. I am currently vice-president because I felt I needed to take a bit more time for myself.
