Description: It’s a super challenge! There are several presbyopic patients in your waiting room needing your expert advice diagnosis but you only have limited time! In this fast-paced, interactive discussion workshop you will work alongside your peers to diagnose and manage seven different patients and decide on the most appropriate management based on the patients’ changing visual and ocular health needs. This discussion workshop presents 7 patient scenarios, which will vary in content from  communication of presbyopia and the correction methods available, examining the presbyopic tear film, to fitting and managing patients with multifocal contact lenses. Delegates will work together in groups of no more than 10 to diagnose and manage each patient case in their own time, with each case presented on a laptop. After discussion as a group, the facilitator will review each case in turn, giving the correct diagnosis and management protocol, based upon latest evidence-based research and management guidelines.;

Marie-Therèse Hall BSc MCOptom Prof Cert Med Ret

Marie-Therese Hall BSc MCOptom Prof Cert Med Ret graduated from the University of Manchester in 2008 and completed her Pre-Registration year with D&A. Since qualification in 2009, she has worked in both multiple and independent practice in the North East of England in a variety of different practices. Marie-Therese has held various roles including practice management and supervision of both a Student Dispensing Opticians and Pre-Registration Optometrists. Marie-Therese joined Johnson & Johnson as a Professional Affairs Consultant in October 2017.
