Description
This session will aim to unravel the mysteries of iatrogenic dry eye by challenging practitioners to diagnose dry eye through communication alone, before you start to examine a patient with a slit lamp. Using patients cases we will work together to demystify iatrogenic dry eye.

Domains and learning outcomes
Communication
- (s.1) Practitioners will be able to explain to patients why their medical condition and/or history may be contributing to their dry eye symptoms
- (s.2) Practitioners will be able to interpret the presenting symptoms of patients with dry eye disease and how sometimes they may be related to their medical history.
Clinical Practice
- (s.5) Practitioners will have a great appreciation of the causes of iatrogenic dry eye.

Mandy Davidson BSc (Hons) MCOptom
Mandy is an optometrist with a special interest in dry eye disease. Alongside her role as Medical and Professional Affairs Manager at Scope Eyecare, she continues to work part time in independent practice running a specialist dry eye clinic where she manages patients presenting with a range of anterior eye problems. Mandy is always happy to share her knowledge and experience with fellow clinicians.
