Description

This approved CPD will open discussion around which myopia management options are considered & thereafter used by UK based practitioners. A big question around why they (&/or practice) has taken this direction. All options will be opened & thereafter discussed.

Speaker

Raquel Torres BSc MCOptom Prof Cert Med Ret

Raquel is a clinical optometrist. She qualified at the University of Spain in 2010 and completed an MSc in Advanced Optometry and Vision Sciences in 2011.

Then, she worked in the Ophthalmology department of the Reina Sofia University Hospital in Spain while studying for her Clinical Optometry MSc.

In 2013, Raquel moved to the Republic of Ireland and served the community as a Lead Optometrist and Store Manager for ten years. She also performed Slit-lamp examinations and Diabetic Retinopathy grading as part of the `National Retinal Screening Programme’ in ROI.

She is passionate about optometry, especially in myopia control and ocular conditions like Glaucoma and Diabetic Retinopathy.
