Webinar - AI, optometry and the retina: where are we, and where are we going (quickly)?

Virtual session

About the event

Artificial intelligence (AI) has rapidly become an important part of everyday life. Healthcare, and eye care in particular, is no exception.

But what is AI, really? How does it work, beyond the hype created by a name invented in the ‘60s as a slogan?

How can we expect AI to help optometrists, ophthalmologists and patients?

Equally important: what should we not expect from AI? What are its limits, where are the risks? Will patients accept to be treated by AI programs?

And can the development of regulatory frameworks match the fast pace of AI research and breakthrough?

We shall address these and other questions in this webinar.
