Top tips for staying organised during your degree
Use a physical planner
It makes it easier to keep track of your weekly routines, assignments and your timetable. Plus, having a section for ‘to-do lists’ is good for motivation, when you can cross tasks off.
Keep your notes organised
I’m fond of GoodNotes but any digital notes app like OneNote, Notion or Quizlet are incredibly useful for keeping your lecture notes for each module well organised.
Stay ahead of deadlines
This avoids placing yourself under unnecessary, last-minute stress. It’s better to start assignments early, so that you have enough time to produce good quality work.
5-minute daily tidy
Taking just five minutes to clean and declutter your workspace prevents things from piling up and I personally find it easier to focus with less distractions which helps my concentration.
Balancing studying and self-care
Staying healthy physically and mentally will help your focus and productivity when studying. It is also important to make time for relaxation, your hobbies and to recharge, which can prevent you from feeling overwhelmed.
Establishing a routine
Having a regular routine, which you are able to stick to, helps you remain consistent with your work and well as reduce your procrastination time.
