Members and the media

If you have a newsworthy, unusual case to share, we'd love to hear from you. We can also help you deal with your local media.

The College regularly receives enquiries from journalists looking for an optometrist who has treated specific eye conditions, or who is based in a specific part of the country. So, we are always interested in hearing about unusual or newsworthy cases that members have treated.

If you have an interesting case study, please consider the questions in the case sudy form below, and ask your patient if they are willing to participate. Then contact our PR Manager, Ann-Marie Stevens, with the details. Her contact information is below.

If you are contacted directly by a journalist, please don’t hesitate in getting in touch with us. We will be able to provide you with College opinion on a range of topics, as well as useful advice about talking to the media, for print, radio and television appearances. Even if you don’t need PR advice, be sure to let us know if you are appearing in any local or national media outlets, and we'll share these stories on our social media channels.
