Case on disagreeing with a senior colleague’s management plan

I am a newly qualified optometrist, and I saw a 6-year-old paediatric patient in the clinic. They were asymptomatic, did not have a squint, and had good VAs. However, when I refracted them, I found R +3.00 L +3.50. I did not want to prescribe but my more senior colleague did. What should I do?
