Case on examining a young child for a sight test

I work in a practice that provides NHS-funded sight tests. A parent booked a two-year-old in for a sight test as they were concerned that the child had an eye that was turning in. I don’t have specialist equipment and see very few children, so I feel the child would be better being examined by a practice with more experience and suitable tests. Is this acceptable?
