Case on sharing ophthalmic imaging on forums

I have an OCT and fundus camera in practice, and occasionally share anonymised images on a professional forum and in a WhatsApp group of optometrists. I find this is a useful way to discuss interesting cases, differential diagnosis and management options with other clinicians. Am I allowed to do this, and what level of patient consent is required?
