Specsavers Slough is a well established practice, having proudly served the local community of Slough for over 20 years. Slough is home to over 120,000 residents, a large proportion of whom visit our practice for their eyecare and audiology needs. The town centre is currently in the middle of a £3 billion redevelopment, with us at the very centre of it! We are a large practice, offering 7 optical consulting/test rooms, all equipped with refractor heads and the latest clinical technology such as OCT. 

We pride ourselves on exceptional service, value and clinical excellence. The store partners and clinical team have over 60+ years of combined optics experience, having worked to successfully support many optometry students through their pre-registration year. We are located in the centre of Slough High Street, a very short walk from Slough rail station, a major stop on the Elizabeth line. There are excellent transport links via road and rail, ensuring easy access for all.

Specsavers Slough are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Pre Registration Optometrist to join our ever growing clinical team! You will receive world class and market leading developmental support from both the in-store team, as well as from Specsavers to ensure you flourish and qualify as an exceptional Optometrist. We pride ourselves on clinical excellence and commercial success and are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our high performing team. With 8 experienced supervising Optometrists, 2 Dispensing Opticians and 3 other Pre Reg Optometrists, you will have the perfect clinical environment and opportunity to develop you skills during your Pre-Reg year, with help always only a room away! 

Based on current capacity and volume, our pre regs would have their own dedicated test room, ensuring you are able to fine tune and develop all of the clinical skills required to pass the Scheme for Registration. Based on previous years and past demand, this vacancy is expected to attract a lot of interest, therefore early application is recommended to maximise your chances of success.
