Scottish Government grant for enhanced air filtration in optometry practices

Grant applications must be received by 31 March 2022.

Since mid-December, The College of Optometrists and ABDO have been in discussions with The Scottish Government on how to support optometrists and dispensing opticians to delivery eye care whilst minimising the risk of airborne transmission in patients who require urgent care and have the symptoms of COVID. We are pleased that the Scottish Government has listened to our concerns and is committed to helping practices reduce the risk of airborne transmission.

Practices can complete a grant application to fund an air filtration device, but must do so by 31 March 2022.
