This article describes a retrospective study examining factors associated with vision and health that contribute to road injury collisions.

Visual impairment, illness and disability can affect an individual’s fitness to drive, whilst the prevalence of both visual and health problems increases with age. This study uses police force data of road traffic accidents to determine the vision and health contributory factors associated with accidents resulting in personal injury.
