Introduction 

This article highlights the major retinal diseases that can be evaluated by OCT, the role of OCT in glaucoma detection and analysis and the role OCT can play in corneal assessment. Used properly with appropriate training it has been known to prevent many misdiagnoses in the clinical environment.
