Preparing for CLiP

Developing with the College

The College will work with you and your universities in the first and second year of your degree to suggest ways in which you can best prepare for the CLiP experience. This will include suggestions for maximising the value of work experience you already have, gaining new experience and using the logbook in the CLiP Portal to record your professional development.

We want you to feel confident and prepared for CLiP when the time comes to start work. Throughout your degree, the College will contact you to suggest that you take our Professional Pathway courses with tips and advice on how to make the most of your journey.

You’ll get ideas on how to:

  • make the most of any work experience you already have
  • find new opportunities to build your skills
  • use your CLiP Portal logbook to track your progress and professional growth

CLiP professional pathway

The CLiP Professional Pathway course is designed to give you the information you need to know about CLiP at different stages of your degree. If you are in Year 1 of your degree, start with Part 1. We will get in touch with you to let you know when the time comes to take the other parts of the course.

This training introduces the CLiP programme to students, covering how the College will provide support, making meaningful logbook entries, and the development of professional values and behaviours expected in practice.

In this online learning course, you’ll explore the job application process, including developing key employability skills, from writing strong applications to performing confidently at interviews.
