Share options

The course focuses on PCA, however many points relating to the eye examinations shown apply more widely to patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The learning materials in this course are based on a recent exploratory pilot research called ‘Which test is best?’ by the College of Optometrists’ Research team and University College London Dementia Research Centre involving three patients with PCA.

The course includes video and audio clips of the patients describing their experience of PCA and how it affects their eyesight and tests performed with these patients by an ophthalmologist, optometrist and neurologist.
