Nominations now open for Research Excellence Awards 2025

The College’s Research Excellence Awards recognise and celebrate achievements in optometric research, and how they enrich the profession.

These inspirational individuals are making a significant contribution to the evidence base that underpins good practice now and in the future.

This is your chance to make a difference to a researcher's career and to recognise their exceptional talent.

Nominations are open until Monday 30 June 2025.

Awards are available for:

  • The Arthur Bennett Prize for Research
  • The Neil Charman Medal for Research
  • The Philip Cole Prize for Practice-Based Research
  • The George Giles Postgraduate Research Prize
  • The Frank Petticrew Award for Contact Lens Research, Practice or Education in Optometry
