The General Optical Council have approved modified patient encounter requirements for registered dispensing opticians and contact lens opticians who are current trainees on the Scheme for Registration.
Logging patient encounters provides evidence of patients you see, and ensures that you develop the skills needed to enable you to practise safely and effectively when you qualify.
