Member alert: Providing feedback on the College’s draft optometrist degree apprenticeship response

Please provide your comments by Thursday 2 January. Your feedback will inform how we finalise our response. 

Our draft response comprises two elements - our proposed consultation survey response on the standard, and an open letter that reflects the views of the members who have contacted us.

You will see that we have challenged many aspects of the proposal. We are also calling for a pause to any further development of the apprenticeship so that these challenges can be fully reviewed and answered.  

The consultation on the apprenticeship standard is open until 10 January, so please also take the time to personally respond. All feedback will need to be considered by the trailblazer group.
