A retrospective audit of 100 consecutive VDU eye examinations, comparing the testing with an in-house, existing protocol.

Introduction

Regular eye examinations should be offered to all habitual users of visual display units (VDUs), otherwise known as display screen equipment (DSE) (Health and Safety Executive 1992). Recommendations from the professional bodies provide guidance to practitioners who must decide what to include in their eye examinations. In this study, we undertook a retrospective audit of 100 consecutive VDU eye examinations and compared the testing with an in-house, existing protocol.
