The latest GOC Registrant Workforce and Perceptions Survey showed some continuing trends around decreasing job satisfaction, increasing workloads, finding it difficult to provide sufficient patient care and experience of bullying, abuse and discrimination at work. There were also some positive findings, such as increased confidence in completing CPD, positive attitudes to career development with an increasing number interested in higher qualifications and IP, and a small increase in confidence around raising concerns in the workplace.
Sign up to our interactive webinar on the 23 February, where we will discuss these findings and explore how the College can support the profession. One survey is not enough, and so this webinar will drill down into some of the most concerning and most positive results. Do the findings represent the experiences of all the profession? Do they represent you? An experienced panel of optometrists, the GOC, and a College Clinical Advisor will discuss the results and trends alongside your live feedback and comments.
Your insight and experiences are essential to making change happen. Whether or not you filled in the GOC survey, this is your opportunity to inform some of these key areas. Come and help us explore the thoughts and experience behind the results and how we progress for the benefit of the patient, practitioner, and sector.
Your inclusion and input on this webinar will feed directly into the College’s response to the GOC’s Thematic Review, which looks at some of the areas of concern raised in the GOC Registrant Survey. As your professional body, we work with the GOC, employers and stakeholders to ensure that your voice is heard and that the profession, and you as professionals, have opportunities to progress, enhance job satisfaction, gain experience and provide excellent patient care.
