The College provides free online safeguarding training. This must be completed before trainees can register with National Health Boards or the National Performers List (England).

8. Before you qualify
Once you graduate, you will need to apply for registration with the General Optical Council (GOC). Before you qualify, complete your safeguarding training, as this will not be available once you are fully qualified. If you haven’t done so already, apply to the Performers List/Health Board of the country where you will be working.
